Provably Fair

Duel Provably Fair – How We Let You Verify Results

Our house games use a Provably Fair model built around server seed, client seed, nonce and a pre-round commitment hash.

What Provably Fair means at Duel

All house games at Duel are described by Duel as Provably Fair. The purpose is to let you verify that an eligible bet used a committed and unpredictable set of inputs rather than asking you to trust the result screen alone.

A random string generated on the server side. Before betting, Duel provides a SHA-256 hash of the server seed so it cannot simply be swapped after the result is known.

A random string associated with the player side. Including client-controlled data means the final result is not determined by the server seed alone.

A number that increases with each bet and helps produce a distinct result for each round using the seed pair.

Use the verifier after an eligible house-game round.

How to verify an eligible bet

The server seed is hidden, but its SHA-256 hash is shown as a commitment.

The server seed, client seed and nonce are combined according to the game algorithm to generate the round result.

You can check that the revealed server seed matches the earlier hash.

Use the fairness verifier and the disclosed inputs to confirm that the verified inputs reproduce the result you played.

What Provably Fair does not mean

Provably Fair does not guarantee profit, reduce gambling risk or tell you what the next result will be. It is a transparency tool for checking eligible completed rounds.

It also should not be applied automatically to third-party slots or live dealer games. Our house games use the Duel verification model; provider games can use different random-number and audit systems.

Duel Provably Fair questions

Duel states that all of its house games are Provably Fair.

It is server-generated random data that is committed via a hash before the wager and revealed later for verification.

It is player-side data that contributes to the result generation process.

It is a value that increases with each bet so repeated seed pairs can still generate distinct round inputs.
